Design

Design sets the vibe.  Halloween decor doesn't always equal orange pumpkins and white ghosts.  You're in charge of the tone of your festivities and the vibe of your home's decor. This subtle, and dark look from Cb2 is sophisticated and dark.  Blending candlesticks and large oval holders are perfect contrasts, and when the candles are lit they set a cool and sexy vibe.  I am loving the black and white coloring of the candles so much that I would likely carry it over into Thanksgiving as well. Decor

What I love about this dining table look is that it is adulting in high style.  Everything screams elegance and murky but pretty murky + moody but pretty moody.  The biggest investment would be the fabric utilized to cover the table and the lap napkins that are so effortlessly placed underneath the salad plates.  The splurge on these items is worth it because they can translate from Spooky Halloween to Thankful Thanksgiving and Christmas too.

Entry

Personally, my favorite holiday decor space is the entryway.  It sets the tone for my celebration vibe.  I found this look @Studio McGee.com and it remains consistent with my all-around high-end, dark and elegant theme.  I am Southern and raised Baptist so I had a few hesitations about the skull.  The way I see it is that the skull in our house is opposite from anything evil.  It adds mysticism and adds volume to the table novels.  The dried florals and candlesticks can be found on Studio McGee's website. The vase and glass canter can probably be shopped in your own house.  The black crows bring on the spooky but in a very adulting, sophisticated kind of way.

Taste

Being Mom I like to offer two versions of drinks to guests.  This is my kid version which is so easy to create for your Halloween party night. The ingredients are:
1. Large rounded punch bowl
2. Frozen Pint of Orange 🍊  Sherbert Ice Cream
3. A liter of Orange 🍊 Fanta
4. Colorful sour 🪱 Worms

Mix it all and garnish around the bowl with the sour 🪱 worms.  The kids are going to get a kick out of this Gouly drink

Grub

Keep it easy peasy with charcuterie trays

Easy peasy snacks for the kids that are healthy after all of the sweet trick or treating.

Aroma

Don't forget to add a signature scent for the evening and include games for kids and adults.  Put your costume on and have a ghastly good night.

Play

This game is fun and easy on the budget at $5.99 found at Amazon.com

Adult play

This is just one of the cringe-worthy games found at Amazon.com for adults to play after the littles are tucked in for the night.

Tip* keep it safe.  Use battery-operated candles throughout for ambiance.  Use scented oils and a Do Terra diffuser for your signature aroma.

Xo, the small town mom
