Our very first event.  A collaboration with @The Little Party People Co.

I believe that all girls and especially brown girls should read the Mermaid book series by Cindy Mosley available on Amazon.com. The five-book series is all about five brown mermaids with various talents and curiosity who dwell under the sea.  As I write this post, Under the Sea music plays in my head.  Grace and I were over the moon to be hosting our first event. The biggest challenge would be to create a memorable event on a small budget.  Just like everything else, Grace gives me the courage to believe that we could do it.

We create and publish our advertising through free applications and utilizing social media.

We were lucky enough to rent a newly opened salon downtown; we were twice blessed to have rented a space that existed in a current location that was modern, and truly stunning @Sugar Sugar Beauty Haus of Longview, Texas.  With the help of colorful mermaid pillows, table coverings, seashells galore, and yummy mermaid-colored punch and chews, the event was set to be beautiful.

Grace calling all mermaids to hurry to the Vivian+Grace and The Little Party People Co.'s first Collaboration 

The event started with little minis and their mommies all dressed up and ready for chitter-chatter plus mermaid crafting, followed by a book reading by the author.  A fun event was set to be had.  Grace graciously hosted her new mermaid pals and I stopped to take a mental observation of it all.  I am so happy that I did; because all of the excitement started and ended so rapidly.

I and Grace did it. We hosted our first ever Vivian+Grace event; with the help of friends and people who we love it was a success.  P.s.  we stayed on a budget.
