Gifting Dad The fun Side of Life

Father's Day Gift Gide 2021

Small Town Mom on a Budget

Last year I  existed, but this year I have made a conscious decision to live.  Who knew that working, chores, and trying to be a decent human being wasn't living.  When it comes to gift-giving for loved ones I'm taking the same approach.  My strategy for Father's Day is to "gift fun." Think about it, your fondest childhood memories aren't about unwrapping a shirt or new doll, I suspect that they involve a vacation where your Dad threw you into a pool or taught you how to make a campfire. Here is a shortlist of what our team came up with.
A Mini Photography Session

Treat him with a Professional Shoot that is all about him and his Favorite Little Persons in the world.  Of course, this may not work as a surprise.  We want him to dress to impress or dress in what makes him feel comfortable, confident, and ready to have all eyes on him.

A Gym Membership. He talks about getting in shape, but he ends up watching hours of the NBA playoffs and listening to random Podcasts.

We like Planet Fitness for its affordable prices and attention to details like keeping members safe by disinfecting equipment and providing cleaning stations throughout the club.
If Dad would rather get fit, fine, and irresistible at home, check out their at-home workouts for "free."

A session at a Gun or Archery range.  Picking up a new skill like archery or letting off some steam at a gun range can be a fun experience for Dad.

This one we haven't tried, but has good reviews.  If you are in the East Texas area this would be an easy drive. There are so many choices in or close to every City. Here are some typical prices.  We were happily surprised at the reasonable expenses.

Last but certainly not least, the gift of a fun Sporting event. Most Dads have a fav sports team.  Go Steelers!  Lookup schedules @eventbrite sporting events.  Don't forget to purchase at least two tickets so Dad has a buddy to drink a brewsky with.  If the event occurs weeks or months away, incorporate his team's sports gear as a part of his gift. He will Love you for being so cool. You may even get a few things checked off of your "honey-do-list."

There are so many fun experiences to be had. The motto is Live and not to only Exist.
